Variac Portable Enclosed Models
Portable, metered or unmetered cased units are available in many models for laboratory and test bench applications. Each unit consists of a variable autotransformer and an overload protector.
A voltmeter, ammeter and/or wattmeter are available on some models. The output circuit is protected by either a thermal overload protector, resettable from the front panel or by easily accessible and replaceable fuses.
Shielding is provided to reduce stray fields sufficiently to provide an overall accuracy of 3% of full scale.
A double pole on-off switch interrupts both sides of the AC line. Where dual range meters are used, make before break range switches permit switching under load. A convenient carrying handle is provided on all models.
